I have been able to confirm this projects legitimacy, being made by the former Half-Life 2: Update team. Now, he's back with a new project and the support of Valve once more, to boot. Filip Victor, the developer for the mod, completely overhauled its lighting, particle effects, detail, and even fixed a few lingering bugs. It originally launched under the name "Half-Life 2: Update" back in 2015 where it became so popular it eventually got its own listing on the Steam platform. Titled " Half-Life 2: Remastered Collection," this updated modification of the game is meant to bring it more in line with the graphical capabilities of 2021. Half-Life franchise developer and publisher, Valve, as given project consent to a fan-made remaster of the sequel title, Half-Life 2.
